Theft and pitch shortening at Cardiff City

As manager of Cardiff City I upset Queens Park Rangers respected manager Don Howe by narrowing the pitch and shortening its length to the absolute minimum, after all we could not have Ray Wilkins spraying passes all over Ninian Park on a full size pitch, they would have murdered us!

South Wales police were looking for the thieves who had busted the safe at Ninian Park on the previous Saturday night, making off with the £38,000 in hard cash of match receipts from a healthy 13,000 gate for that original tie. An inside job was suspected simply because the safe key was easily accessible and had obviously been spotted by the perpetrator, I kid you not!
